Shadowrocket Download App Store Official App Store Listing

A paid app, sold only on the App Store as a one-time purchase. Check the storefront region and product details before buying.

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID 932747118
  • US storefront: $2.99 one-time purchase; see the App Store page
  • For iPhone and iPad

Storefront and account region: check the purchasing account first

The app is not available on the China mainland storefront. The apps shown in the App Store depend on the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases, not directly on your device’s language, time zone, or current location. If you can’t find Shadowrocket, first check which storefront you’re using rather than repeatedly changing your search terms. The button on this page opens the same App Store product page; whether you can make a purchase depends on your account, storefront availability, and device.

How to check your country or region

Open Settings, tap the Apple ID account area at the top, go to Media & Purchases, choose View Account, then tap Country/Region. On some systems, the account area is labeled Apple Account; exact wording varies by system interface. You may need to verify your identity to view account details. Complete this step in your device’s system interface, not by entering your account password on a regular webpage.

To view the options for changing your region, open Country/Region and select the system’s change option. This explains where to find the option; it does not mean every account can change regions immediately. Your account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing settings, or payment information may affect the process. Check the prompts on your account page to see whether you meet the requirements. Read them before proceeding, and don’t repeatedly change account details just to test the process.

Also distinguish the account used for iCloud from the one used for Media & Purchases: they may be different. App purchases are tied to the storefront account that made the payment. Check this before buying and keep the purchase record provided by the system; you’ll need it to restore Shadowrocket on an iPad or a new iPhone. For more about storefront availability and account checks, read the App Store availability guide.

Verify the official app: developer, icon, and app ID

Check all three details to identify the app; don’t rely on the name “Shadowrocket” alone. Apps with the same or similar names and lookalike search results can lead to different product pages. A matching name is no substitute for checking the developer and app ID. Complete purchases in the App Store; the information on this page is here to help you identify the right listing.

Official Shadowrocket app icon: a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background

Shadowrocket

Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
App ID: 932747118

  1. Check the developer name. On the product page, verify that the developer shown in the listing and information section is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the full spelling rather than relying on a truncated search result.
  2. Check the official icon. The icon is a blue-and-purple outlined rocket on a white background, matching the official icon shown on this page. Similar colors or a similar outline are not enough to confirm the app; check the other two details as well.
  3. Check the app ID. The identifier in the product page URL should be id932747118. The app ID identifies the specific product, so don’t skip this check just because the page title matches.

Once all three details match, check the price, compatibility, and purchase confirmation. If any detail differs, leave that product page and reopen the listing using the App Store button on this page. Don’t pay until the details are clear. This site provides the official Shadowrocket guide; the current price, system requirements, and purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page.

Official screenshots: Home and Add Server

The two images below are official screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. Use them to identify screens and English interface labels; they do not mean your device is already configured. In Home, Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER help you locate the main controls. In Add Server, Type, Host, Port, Password, and Method are fields you may encounter when entering existing server details.

Add Server: Use details from your existing server information; don’t copy the examples shown in the screenshot.

Screenshots may differ from your device because of app updates, screen size, or current settings. They cannot replace checking the three App Store details or confirm whether your account has purchased the app. If no server appears after installation, first get your subscription or server details from your provider, then continue with the setup guide.

iPhone: purchase, install, and open the app

Open the App Store product page on your iPhone. After verifying the app details, review the compatibility section and current price. System requirements are as listed on the App Store page; don’t rely only on your iPhone model or requirements from an older guide to decide whether the app will install. If the system says your device is incompatible, check the current system and device requirements shown on the page before proceeding.

  1. Confirm that Media & Purchases is signed in with the Apple ID you plan to use for the purchase, and check the current storefront region.
  2. On the Shadowrocket product page, verify the developer, icon, and app ID, then check the displayed currency and price.
  3. Follow the App Store’s confirmation steps to complete the purchase. Wait for installation to finish, then open Shadowrocket from your Home Screen.
  4. Get subscription or server details from your provider, import them by following the guide, and check your Global Routing selection.

Opening the app for the first time does not mean you have an active connection. You may first see screens such as Home and Add Server. Before trying to connect, import a valid existing configuration, select an appropriate server, and check its settings. Your purchase record is managed through the App Store, while subscriptions and server details are separate information needed for a connection; one does not replace the other.

System authorization for the first connection

The first time you try to enable a connection, the system may ask permission to add a VPN configuration and request your device passcode or system authentication. This authorizes a network configuration change on your device; it is not another app purchase. Confirm that the request was triggered by Shadowrocket, which you just opened, then review the system prompt and decide whether to allow it. The connection may not work until the required authorization is complete.

If you cancel authorization, return to the app and try again when prompted. Don’t confuse a system authorization issue with an invalid subscription. First confirm that the app is installed and authorization is complete, then check the server fields and connection result. For a specific error, follow the steps in Troubleshooting instead of changing several settings at once and losing track of the cause.

iPad: use the purchase history from the same account

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. After buying it once, use the purchase history for the same Apple ID to download it on either device. Before you start, check that the Media & Purchases account on your iPad matches the account used for the original purchase. Being signed in to the same iCloud account alone does not confirm that the App Store is using the same account.

Open the product page in the App Store on your iPad, or go to purchased items, and check the app identity and download status. System requirements, compatibility, and purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page. If you bought the app on iPhone but your iPad still shows a price, check the account and purchase history before confirming another payment. If the app is waiting to download, follow the App Store prompts to check your network, storage, and account status.

The larger iPad display may change the layout of lists and details, text spacing, or how many items are visible compared with iPhone. Use interface labels such as Home, Add Server, and Config to find your way around; buttons do not need to be in exactly the same positions as in the screenshots. Get the information needed for import from your provider, and complete any system authorization shown on the device before connecting.

Check compatibility with other Apple devices

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Universal purchase availability, supported devices, and system requirements are as listed on the App Store page. Before using Shadowrocket on these devices, check the instructions and purchase status for each one. Don’t assume the iPhone layout, input method, or authorization steps apply unchanged.

Purchase access and configuration are separate. Even if another device can use your existing purchase, check separately whether its configuration has been restored, server details are complete, and the connection works. Then adjust rules and other settings for the target device as needed.

New device and restore: restore your purchase, then your configuration

When switching to a new iPhone, adding an iPad, or reinstalling the app, restore purchase access first, then restore your configuration. Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, open your account in the App Store, go to Purchased, find Shadowrocket, and download it again. Depending on the system, the relevant option may appear under Apps or in the purchase list; follow the labels shown on your account page. Redownloading a valid purchase does not require another payment.

If you can’t find your purchase, check in this order

First confirm that the current Media & Purchases account matches the account that made the original payment. Then make sure you’re looking for the right product and check whether the transaction appears in your purchase history. If needed, also check hidden purchases and current storefront availability. Payment history, app availability, and device compatibility are separate conditions; the app missing from search results alone does not mean your purchase history is lost.

If the product page shows a price instead of a redownload option, stop before confirming payment and check your account and purchase history. Don’t assume a family member’s purchase automatically counts as a purchase on your account. Whether Family Sharing applies, which purchases can be shared, and the current family settings requirements are as stated on the App Store page and in your account prompts. Don’t assume joining a family group will restore a particular purchase.

After reinstalling, restore your own data too

Restoring from the App Store restores access to the app; it does not necessarily restore your server details, subscriptions, or rule configuration. If your old device is still available, check your backups, sync status, and saved files before moving to a new device. Exported or saved configurations may contain connection credentials, so don’t share the complete data in comments, screenshots, or other public places.

After installing on a new device, use a configuration you saved yourself, or get current subscription and server details from your provider, then import them by following the guide. Check that the server appears, the fields are complete, and Global Routing is set as expected. Then try connecting and verify the result. If the app was removed from your old device and you don’t have a usable backup, check the source of your information again rather than repeatedly buying the app.

Before and after switching devices, you can record checks such as “purchase confirmed,” “configuration imported,” and “authorization complete,” but don’t record passwords in plain text. This helps separate purchase issues from connection issues and makes it easier to return to the last confirmed step if something goes wrong.

Price and one-time purchase: app cost and service costs are separate

Shadowrocket is a one-time purchase; the app itself does not have a monthly fee. The reference price on the US storefront is $2.99. Each storefront displays its local currency, and the actual price is shown on the App Store product and purchase confirmation pages. The US dollar reference price is not the final amount for other regions. Before paying, check your storefront region, displayed currency, and purchase details.

A one-time app purchase describes how the app is sold. It does not guarantee that an external server will remain available or that connections will work in every network environment. Check the subscription period, server settings, and service availability for the service you already use. If the app shows as purchased but a connection fails, first check authorization, configuration, and network conditions; a connection issue does not mean you need to pay for the app again.

App updates are delivered through the App Store. Check the Updates section on your device or manage automatic updates in system settings. Available updates, release details, and compatibility changes are as shown on the product page and in device prompts. This page does not use a fixed version number to determine whether your installation is correct. To verify the official app, check the developer, official icon, and app ID.

After purchasing, keep a record that helps identify the Apple ID used for the purchase so you can find the right account when switching devices. If a payment fails, you see a possible duplicate charge, or your purchase status looks wrong, first check your App Store purchase history and the options provided by the system. This page explains what to check; it does not make refund, transaction, or account decisions on behalf of the store.

App Store download and purchase FAQs

Can’t find Shadowrocket on the App Store? What should you check first?

First check the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. The app is not available on the China mainland storefront. Your device language and physical location do not directly determine the storefront region. Follow the steps on this page to check your account, then see whether the product page is available.

The product page opens, but Shadowrocket won’t download. What should you do?

Read the specific App Store message first, then check account verification, payment status, available device storage, network, and system compatibility. System requirements are as listed on the App Store page. If your purchase status is unclear, check your purchase history before confirming payment again.

Do you have to pay again when you get a new iPhone or reinstall the app?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then redownload Shadowrocket from your account’s purchased items in the App Store. Restoring a valid purchase does not require another payment. If a price appears, check the purchasing account and transaction history. Reinstalling the app does not restore all your settings.

Can you use the same purchase on iPad?

Use the same Apple ID’s purchase history to download Shadowrocket on iPhone and iPad. Check the App Store account on your iPad and confirm compatibility. System requirements and purchase availability are as listed on the App Store page.

Where can you check compatibility with Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision?

Check the compatibility section on the same Shadowrocket App Store product page. It lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Universal purchase availability, supported devices, and system requirements are as listed on the App Store page.

The app interface is in English. How do you follow the instructions?

This official guide keeps interface labels in English. Home is the main screen, Add Server is for entering existing server details, and Global Routing lets you choose how traffic is handled. Follow the setup guide step by step; you do not need to buy the app again just because the interface language is different.
